Grandma's birthday

For my mom's birthday this year my older brother ordered her a cake called "death by chocolate." Let me assure you, it was. Unfortunately, he didn't get to join us in enjoying said cake. I picked it up from the bakery and then we went to my parents where we made kabobs and ate cake.
If you look up decadent in the dictionary, you will find a picture of this cake. Chocolate with ganosh poured over the top and between the layers, topped with fresh fruit and a solid chocolate plaque.
It was really delicious and wonderful to be so close to spend birthdays and holidays with my parents.
It was so tasty I think the kids might have grown. But seriously... isn't it amazing how much bigger Kolton is than mousy these days?
