Shower

I had a lovely, well attended, fun shower for this baby girl.  Mom made her a quilt and then promptly followed with new quilts for Kolton and Xiana (pic to come).  It was a wonderful day where we got truly spoiled.  It took me all night to go through the clothes and diapers and gifts we received.  We truly are blessed!!

Cake maker extraordinaire!

38 weeks!

Projects

Xiana's class made a little community.  Each student had to create a business of some sort.  Initially, Xiana wanted to make the temple.  I told her no because I worried about it not being a business per se..  It turns out it was a good thing since her friend made one!  Instead, Xiana chose to make a cupcake shop.  It was stinking cute!  It's hard to see all the details, but she drew displays of cakes and cupcakes and then tables with people eating at them.  Darling.

Cute little penguin...

She was ecstatic to get a bunk bed (a total blessing since I was worried she was going to rebel against getting rid of her beloved castle bed). The first morning, I woke up to find these two with dad's ipod both on the top bunk.  We are going to have Kolton start sleeping in there in another month or so... We are going to work on one adjustment at a time :)

Firemen

Kolton got to go on a playgroup trip to the fire station. He was immensely impressed with the big trucks, the gear, and the firemen themselves.  He was completely engaged the entire time. He also was impressed with the big huge toilets (urinals) they had. He was in the early stages of potty training, so we got to visit the bathrooms multiple times.  He was also very impressed with his new fire hat, though he complained that he thought it was going to be "wittle" to fit him better.  He knew what a lot of the tools were including the chainsaw.  But.. he conceded, "yours saw is much bigger than my daddy's."
