Museum

There's not much to say about the regular occurrence of museum trips... but I'm a succor for the cute pics I get as my children literally expand their minds.  I could probably fill a photo album with museum pictures alone!

Book Launch

I wish Larissa could have been with me for the magnificent party/book launch throw by my dearest Janet Hofmann! It was one of the single most humbling experiences of my life.  I was overwhelmed with gratitude about the multitude of loved ones there and not there, seen and unseen, to launch our book and endeavor.  I sold every book I ordered and then went home and ordered more. My single regret is not being braver and ordering more copies to begin with. I should have known. I should have expected that all of my dear wonderful supportive friends and family would show up... because you always do!  Even my sweet husband visited with the swarm of women for over an hour before going home to care for our children.  I was showered with gifts, food, sweet speeches and sentiments while signing books for three full hours. It was surreal. It was marvelous. It was humbling.  I don't know what the future of this book is...heck, I don't know what my own future is.  But I know for certain that it takes a village not only to raise a child, but to be an adult and follow our dreams as well.  It took my village...every step of the way.  Friends here, and in the next life. Friends I see daily, and friends I haven't seen in years. It took all of you.  And I'm certain my dad was there, beaming with pride in his usual fashion.  My life has been rich. I am truly blessed.  I can only hope this book will bless the lives of all who encounter it.  Truly, it was a night to remember; a night for the books; a night of true humility.

Thanksgiving

We took our brand new toy to Battle Mountain for Thanksgiving and though it was a lot of fun... we didn't have a windshield or a roof and it was CCCCCCCCCOLD! It was 0 degrees one of the days.  But... it was also a lot of fun to have all the recreational vehicles up on the mountain to ride and play together.  Debbie was genius and hosted Thanksgiving at the Church so that we all got to sit around the table together.  It was a lot of fun! Everyone was there except for Ali!! The next day we went to find a concrete arrow from the olden mail carrier days.  It was pretty cool.

Six Flags... the first rounds....

I bought us season passes to Six Flags and it has been a wonderful experience!  All three of the kids are daredevils riding on EVERYTHING they are tall enough to go on.  Xiana has been able to go on some pretty big coasters while Kolton has managed the smaller ones.  Argenta isn't tall enough for a few of them which makes her mad. Every time they get on a ride she can't go on, she says, "ride!" and when she goes on rides she is tall enough for, it infuriates her when they stop.  Plus, all three of them can spin a ridiculous amount! They pet stingrays, and then the penguins were playing with them, following their hands outside the tank for a long time. It was hilarious!
