My amazing friends had a book group featuring... MY BOOK! It was so wonderful to listen to them talk about the things they learned, the questions they had, and their overall feelings about this labor of love. It was priceless and beautiful. Later, I was invited to speak at another book group about my book. The experiences have left me humbled and filled with gratitude.
And I guess my kids can have friends over too....
