Temple Square

We met Brian's family in Utah for a QUICK trip... like two days of driving for two days of fun quick. It was worth every "Are we there yet?" and "How much longer?" along the way. We drove Tad with us to drop her off with her aunt which worked out great for us because she was an excellent buffer between Kolton and Xiana. Her aunt met us at temple square where we spent two interesting, touching, and HOT hours before heading to the house we rented.  Did I mention it was HOT? Record breaking heat the whole time we were there.  But it really was beautiful.  We went to the church history museum, the tabernacle (new and old), the Joseph Smith building. Unfortunately, the museum was closed for what appeared to be massive renovation.  But... our kids are little and were troopers. I'm not sure how much longer they would have lasted. We finished our little tour with a trip up the elevators in the conference center where Kolton nearly knocked over approximately fifteen pictures or statues, and Argenta tried to run everywhere making our tour guide wish he had not been the lucky person standing at the door when we walked in.  It was spectacular though... truly... the art was incredible, the view incomparable, and it was gigantic.

Don't let Ekco's scowl fool you.  She loved it too... but she's 14 and that's her picture face. :) Also, I'm fairly certain the picture of Argenta and Xiana looking up at the statue of Christ makes me cry every time I look at it.
