Davis Creek

So...in lieu of being on bed rest, we decided to take advantage of our last hypothetical weekend pre-baby and head to Davis Creek for some fishing and walking around. It might not have been our brightest and best idea, but it was a lot of fun. Brian caught.....
well nothing, and nether did Xiana, but... we did get to go the the chocolate nugget and get ice cream bars (fort he record, they changed them and they are no longer the scrumptious peach ice cream of my youth... probably our last stop at the good old chocolate nugget). Kevin and Kylee met us up there and we picnicked and watched as my fingers and toes turned into little sausages.
Xiana did her typical fishing and lasted less than 60 seconds with pole in water. She has also evolved, however, and took to attempting to "cast" by herself. This proved to be quite dangerous.
I'm sure the fishing wasn't hindered at all by the girls playing in the water with sticks.
Balancing on logs proved to be wildly entertaining. Ekco also took advantage of her free time to start reading the Harry Potter books which is wonderful since we all know how fantastic they are.
We decided to walk around the little pond for a primo fishing spot.
Proof that I was there.
Xiana wildly casting.
I love this picture. It was completely unintentional but I got the reflection of the trees perfectly centered between their heads.
It was an exhausting, but very fun day. I'm glad we took advantage of one last family weekend... pre-our whole family that is :)
