Ali's bridal shower

My sister-in-law is getting married in June and we are thrilled. We adore her fiance and are very excited for the newest addition to the family. My other sister-in-law threw her a baby shower but.... our house is better for hosting so we had it here. It was a lot of fun. It was so interesting to be at a shower and feel so old. Ali is 21 so of course her friends are also. All of her guests were friendly, lovely girls, but her mother-in-law-to-be stole the show. Here they are with bling bling from an awesome game my other sister-in-law Jenn sent from Vegas. She planned the greatest games ever and just as they were loading up to drive here, their little girl got sick... vomiting sick. So... Jenn continued to load up and sent her husband with the games and everything else. It was so nice of her and the games were fabulous, but she was greatly missed! This is a fun game where you hide rings all over the house and they each have different values. Then you send everyone out to look for them. There is something hysterical about a group of grown women scavenging the place.
Bling bling
For this game each attendant had a tiara and a mustache. Jenn had previously asked both Ali and her fiance Larry several questions. You read the question and one of the answers aloud and then the guests have to decide whether Ali or Larry answered that way. Or... as you can see in this pic, they both answered that way. It was a lot of fun.
Ali got a lot of fun gifts... which is the best part!
Including honeymoon caps that she kept telling me she wanted.
Here's the whole group. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law and I stuck together... we were definitely outnumbered :)
These crazy girls... I felt like this could be a homecoming picture... for college of course!
Here is her current and soon to be fam...
And finally, her future mother-in-law taught all the girls how to do traditional wedding dances by shaking their hips. I'm pretty sure my hips don't have the same points that hers do because man can that woman move!! It was really fun. All the girls got up and learned some of the dances. Ali commented to me that her soon-to-be family learns and performs these dances from toddler hood on. She said that was something she was really looking forward to with her own kids. I think it's so wonderful to be able to share cultures and will be very rewarding for her children...
And the girls got it... so did Tosh!
