Pre-Easter

Our kids got to have two Easter egg hunts which, for Xiana meant that she might have eaten an extra piece of candy.  For Kolton, it meant that he ate sugar continuously for 2 solid days.  It's funny how different they are.  Xiana thinks she wants candy... I can certainly bribe her with it.  But when push comes to shove, she rarely will finish a piece.  She's never tackled an entire candy bar in her life.  Kolton, on the other hand, could eat candy every second of every day.  He has the most wicked sweet tooth I've ever seen in my life.  For both hunts he had two pieces in both cheeks, one in each hand, while he quickly moved to find and open new eggs.  Every time we thought we had the baskets up high enough, he would come around the corner with blue lips and chipmunk cheeks.... for days!  Silly little guy. He was in heaven with his "buddy" Zachary, who claims the reason Kolton adores him is because they're kindred spirits sharing a birthday.  I dare say he's right.  Zachary is so wonderful with babies.  Kolton followed him around the entire time they were here, and Zachary was so accommodating never once complaining.  Fun was had by all. We had Easter dinner at my parent's house that night, and at ours the next.  It was wonderful.  We got to have multiple lessons on the meaning of Easter.  Xiana definitely is understanding now why we celebrate Easter.  She repeatedly explains how Jesus was Resurrection so we celebrate. She understands the symbolism of the eggs and many other items due to several different egg/scripture/symbols lessons.
