For our Frey family reunion, Larissa organized a trip to Bandon Oregon. It was spectacular! We stayed in cabins that used to be an old military training quarters. It was idyllic. There were domestic and friendly horses on the 80 acres of beautiful terrain, along with hiking trails, ponds, and a fun common area. This is to say nothing of the beach just a few short miles away. There is nothing quite like taking my children to the beach. They relish in the water and dive in regardless of how cold it is. I never can blame or scold them because they take after me so completely. Argenta went straight out again and again causing us to have to keep a very close eye on her. We saw so much wildlife! We happened to hit the beach directly after high tide left octopus, starfish, and tons of jelly fish and crab in the pools. With very little effort we were able to enjoy a great deal of sea life. There were seals and birds galore too! The first day was quite cold, but we didn't let that prevent us from spending much of the day there. Afterwards, we got local cuisine and hung out at the cabins where we celebrated mom's birthday. She said it was a perfect day. That means so much.
