It's all for the love of the hunt. After the pumpkin patch one Saturday, we headed out into the hills so that Brian could obtain dinner.... okay, let's be honest, really it was so that Brian could do what he loves most.... hunt! The girls were happy to oblige wandering around living in a make-believe world filled with monsters, and goblins and, the-ever-so-scary-imaginations-running-wild-creature: the coyote. Ekco caught a frog while they dodged creatures and created castles out of sticks and sand. Then, they hid in a forest and made preparations to stall the invasion of the mighty super race...moving in on their freshly built cities.
Kolton, meanwhile, took the truck on joy ride.
He's fast... this little thrill seeker. It was somewhat challenging to keep him occupied in the front pack at his carrier's (my) slow pace.
Eventually, with two birds in hand (ten by the time we got home), our fearless leader returned and Xiana drove the getaway car.... I'm pretty sure they were still avoiding the scary scary outdoors.
Alas, we made it home safely and even had time to meet my parents and cousins for dinner at the Nugget. I'd say it was a successful day.
