We went to Gold Beach for the second part of our trip. We stayed in a beautiful hotel right on the Rogue river where we were able to watch fishing boats working all day. We even saw a harbor seal and sea lions right outside our balcony doors! In Gold beach, we went tidepooling and saw fun creatures, we played in the waves, we ate delicious food, and we went on the river jet boat tour (my favorite). The tour was not as good as when Brian and I went years ago, but I still loved it. It ended up not being as much of a crowd pleaser as I anticipated. But, in the evening, we swam in the pool where our kids got to go in the hot tub (usually prohibited elsewhere), which did end up being the highlight for many.
