I can't believe that it took me this long to post about my awesome trip to Boise! Larissa and I had the privilege of speaking at Ashlee Birk's A Reason To Stand conference in Boise. The lovely Jamee volunteered to chauffeur me there. It was amazing!!! Kalyn rode along too and the trip there, the conversation, the silliness, the love, was epic. Once there, I learned so much and felt like Larissa and I did a wonderful job speaking (despite selling only a few books). Our first night, Larissa and I were welcomed to stay at Hannah's wonderful ranch style home where her sweet girls left us a little chalk board message. Then, we went to dinner at Zupas, my favorite! Where Cambridge, Morgan, Beth, Natalie, Janet, and Mitzi met the five of us for a humbling and motivating time. I was so honored that so many of my friends came all the way to support me and share their love with me. After the conference, we had a laughter filled dinner at Fish Bone and then headed to Ola!!! I have aspired to be a professional speaker for much of my life. This experience was incredible, and it was also eye opening. Afterwards, I realized that my profession really is being a public speaker. But in my classroom, it's more intimate, I know my audience, and I get to see them progress. It turns out I already have my dream job.

A few minutes of down time...
These two little ones left at home are such a blessing to me. They get along so well and are completely cut form the same cloth. I love that they tease each other and laugh together. Argenta sneaks in Kolton's bed and tries to go to sleep at night. They love to wear matching pajamas, and they love each other.
Argenta is FINALLY past the stage of pushing and hitting all the kids in nursery. As a result, she has a"best fwend" Mable. They are so stinking cute!!!!!! They hold hands and ask for each other and are pretty much the cutest kids ever.

Preschool
Preschool co-op worked great this year. I was a little skeptical because of many strong personalities, but it was our most successful year yet! I hope we will be able to maintain it for next year.

March Museum
You'll find that the museum in March is much the same as the museum every other month... and yet... like the Sunday pictures, I absolutely cannot resist taking pictures. Our membership expired in May, and I'm not going to renew until winter. It'll be a nice thing to look forward to when our Tahoe days become limited.
V Day
We had a Valentine's Day playgroup exchange with a fabulous turn out. Gone are the days where playgroup weekly meets with lots of participants, so this was very encouraging. The kids exchanged valentines and ate a million pounds of sugar. It was pretty perfect.

Xiana
- Xiana's best friend (and her mom.. my best friend) is moving. It will be a big change in her world and likely alter her life in substantial ways. She's been taking it in stride and seems to be fairing fine, but she said they last day of school the girls cried and cried together. It makes me so sad, but I know that is life.
- She finished the second grade with flying colors making it on honor roll with every report card. She loved her teacher and is such a helper... and a little bit of a know it all.
- My mom, Xiana, and I went to see a church movie, "Singing With Angels" and it was really sad. At one point I looked over and Xiana was just sobbing. My heart broke a little for this sweet sensitive girl, but also because I felt it had been too long since I've actually seen her. I've been focusing so much on helping Kolton that I all but quit paying attention to Xiana. It was a good wake up call to me to be better. Balancing is the hardest thing as a mother. So we started reading Anne of Green Gables together just the two of us. It has been wonderful to have that one-on-one time with her. Plus, I've been waiting for years to read that series with her!
- She continues to get taller, but has only gained a pound.
- She has decided to do hip hop dancing this year instead of ballet. I think she'll love it, but she's a bit apprehensive.
- Her teeth are FINALLY growing back in... a year later!! So her smile is less and less hole-y.
- Our wards and stake just split and she thanked Heavenly Father for it in her prayers. I asked her if she really felt that way despite being split from all her friends and she assured me she did. What a wonderful quality to be flexible and optimistic and grateful. I sure love this little girl who is not so little at all anymore.
